This morning was the coldest temperature I have experienced.

Yesterday we had a nice little snow before the arctic moved in.

All day long, it snowed for the most part. It was nice to see our first accumulating snow.

Last evening we had our first accumulating snow. It wasn’t much, but the ground did get whitened before it changed to rain overnight.

It was a nice, mild March day. I got some WODs in and spent some time in the sunshine on the patio.

After I got a shower, it got very sunny, with the temperature rising into the upper 50s. Perfect day to break out my swovie shorts and collect some vitamin D.

Today we are having our second snow day in a week. It has been nice to have some winter weather this year.

Hearing the snow and sleet melting and dripping is just so relaxing.

This morning and into this afternoon, we finally had some accumulating snow. We had a fluke dusting in early December, but nothing since then.

This morning we had our first accumulation of snow of the season. It wasn’t much, but it was enough to whiten up some surfaces.

This winter, there really hasn’t been all that much fur to us in the snow or even cold department. Today we’re finally getting our first appreciable snow Accumulation, and even that won’t last.

This winter so far has been abysmal at best as far as snowfall is concerned here in Central Pennsylvania. We ended up getting a coating overnight, which was nice to see.

It was a really mild late December day. Once the sun came out, it warmed up to near sixty. We took advantage of that and did a sled WOD as a partner WOD.

It was a nice sunny day, and it warmed up into the upper forties. I big different from the recent days. The skies were sunny, so I collected some sunshine on the patio.

Today was a day to remember with the large temperature swing. The high was in the mid-fifties a couple of hours before dawn, and it had dropped to the single digits by late evening.

It’s pretty late this winter, but we’re finally getting the first accumulation of snow that I’ve seen so far. It won’t last long, but it’s nice to see it.

This morning we’re having some freezing rain. We held on to temperatures just below freezing along with freezing rain just a little longer than other local weather stations.

Today has been a cold and windy day with gusts getting up near 30 mph. The high was only near freezing though with lots of snow squalls around. Just not one here in Mount Joy.

We got out for a nice walk this evening after supper. It was our first after supper walk I think since last fall that it wasn’t dark. It was nice not being blinded by the passing traffic’s headlights. There were a disappointing number of homes and businesses that didn’t clear the snow yesterday and just had an icy mess.

It’s the middle of March, and we’re finally getting a decent snow storm. The storms so far this winter have been mostly mediocre around here at best. We ended up with three or four inches.

I have always liked seeing fresh snowfall on the trees and stuff when the sun first comes out after a storm. Today was one of those chances I got to see that before it melts or blows off.

Even though the temperature has been above freezing all day, and it’s been warm, it did actually snow today. Some even accumulated in the areas that don’t get any of the strong solar radiation yet.

It’s starting to feel like early spring now with the sun being stronger when it’s out and days getting warmer. mid sixties and sunny yesterday and it was mid 50s and cloudy with afternoon rain today.

We had a decent snow squall actually survive after it moved east of the Mountains. Decent burst of snow in Lancaster and even more at home in Mount Joy with a fresh dusting.

I feel like I remember cold fronts being much sharper when I was a kid. That could be just the bias of remembering bigger deals. This morning’s cold front featured a nice squall line with wind and quick drop in temperature and dew point

A few miles can make all the difference in weather sometimes. We went to Lititz today, and it appeared that they had more snow than we did yesterday. Ours is almost all gone, but the ground was still covered up there.

The past couple of mild days were mild, but now winter is back, at least temporarily, with some wet snow overnight.

Today’s high temperature overshot the forecast by 5 degrees. I noticed it felt pretty waRm when I took Brooke to the bus stop this morning.

We made it out for a nice walk this evening. It was a really nice walk with the fresh dusting of snow and it still being daylight out.

Nice impressive winter storm for us here. Not all snow but it was a fun storm.

Last night before I went to bed the radar was looking really good for snow. This morning it was pretty clear that the storm over performed with what looked like at least 4 inches of snow.

We finally get a winter weather advisory for 2 to 4 inches of snow tomorrow night. Of course, the neighbors have to get their snowblower ready for that.

We managed to time our evening walk just right today. We got out there just as the snow was beginning to fall.

finally a snow storm but it’s going to miss us to the south. It’s good to see one not cutting up well to the west at least.

There had been a chance of snow in the forecast for today, but I wasn’t expecting any accumulation, but we ended up with a nice surprise. Everything is white. Even the roads!

It turned out sunnier and warmer today than I expected with the high in the mid 50s.

It turned out pretty nice today. The sun came out and the temperature spiked into the low sixties.

It’s pretty late, but we had our first snow flurries of the year. Well, it was our first daytime snow flurries that I saw.

We have had our first snowfall of the season finally. It wasn’t much, but it’s something.

The storm was one of those with a lot of hype, but things had to be just right for it to verify. This time it worked out, and we wound up with about a foot of snow.

We had a decent snow storm for being so early. Not what the usual Facebook “meteorologists” hyped it to be, but it was decent enough.

It looks and feels like snow today. It reminds me of hanging out with the guys up the mountains for buck season. Being visually impaired I did not hunt, but I did eat, drink and play cards.

It is a cool and rainy spring day. During the winter, this could probably have been a decent snow storm.

We had a bit of snow falling this morning. Not much, but it was nice to see something after this failure of a winter.

Today I get to watch the radar instead of the snow. The Carolinas are getting hammered, but we’re barely even getting clouds from the storm.

We had our coldest night of the year so far, and of course, it was wasted cold. It didn’t include any snow.

I spotted some Crocuses blooming already.

Today’s high was in the 60s. That meant I got to go unwind on the patio in the sunshine after the two WODs today.

Back to this winter’s normal pattern again. We had yet another rainstorm. At least it’s fairly mild and not just 33 ℉ and rain.

Today’s high in the 50s means we get to have cheeseburgers on the grill for supper! I good part of the day was even sunny!

Another cold front moved through. So far, this year apart from the arctic shot in December, nothing has compared to the past few years.

It’s windy today, with occasionally strong gusts. It’s really relaxing to me to hear it.

We got into the 60s today and got into the 60s yesterday. Any trace of last week’s snow is long gone thanks to the mild temperatures.

We ended up with a couple of inches of snow yesterday. It was wet snow and stuck to everything.

It looks as if we have received a couple of inches of snow so far today. The original forecast was for around an inch.

This cold air is remind me of the mountains growing up. I’d be next to the coal stove which was burning and in the sun and reading. I sort of miss those simpler days.

I’m hoping for some thundersnow here in Mount Joy. It’s snowing heavily now, with some lightning on the maps west of here.

I’ve enjoyed listening to the snow melting and dripping. I’m finding it very relaxing. Reminding me of the mountains in the winter on the rare occasion we had snow.

This week’s temperature has ranged something like 60 degrees now with today’s high being in the middle 60s.

We finally got some snow before the arctic front moves through tomorrow. I saw a squirrel sitting on the patio table after the snow.

Like most of the storms so far this winter, We’re having yet another warm storm.

We had some slow that quickly changed to rain. Now the arctic front is on its way through for a quick cold shot.

This winter we’ve had some early snow. Technically, it was still autumn when the middle of November when we had the snow.

Our biggest snow storms seem to be around President’s Day. That won’t be the case today, with the high temperature being near 80 ℉.

We headed out to the NW river trail to check out the river ice. It was cool looking so I had to share some pictures.

I found some pictures of my first big snowfall after moving to Mount Joy. It turned out to be one of the area’s top ten of all time, I believe.

February tornado? Sure. We didn’t get one but the cell had rotation when it went over us. It did drop a tornado over in York county before geting here though

We had a bigger snow storm on January 23rd. We ended up getting two to three feet of snow.

Another week and more snow for us is in the forecast. The storm should bring our heaviest snow fall of the year so far.

Per the forecast, it looks like a few inches of snow here. To our north, they’ll likely get six or more inches.

It looks like we should be getting a couple of inches of snow here in Lancaster County. The heavier snow should stay to our east.

I woke up this morning to a coating of snow. I’m beginning to think that may be all we get this year with the pattern so far.

December was a cold and dry month around here. Harrisburg ended the month with the average temperature being 4.1 degrees below average.

We had a nice snow storm with snowfall rates of up to two to three inches per hour. Ended up with about twenty inches.

This season has been pretty snow so far. We had our third snowfall of December last Saturday. Lancaster county has had record Snowfall for December now.

An arctic shot is coming next week. The cold has been building for a while now and looks like it’s going to finally head southward.

We had a NICE MOISTURE rich storm that is causing snow in New England. If only it had been snow here. With my Davis Vantage Pro2 recording just over two inches of snow.

It’s November 20th and there’s a nice-looking snow squall stretching across Pennsylvania.

The snow flurries I thought we might get last night turned into a nice coating of snow.

The mild weather last week ended when we had a fairly strong move through. Now, it’s pretty chilly for November.

It’s always a sign of winter coming when the leaves are turning. It’s also a good sign to see CTP talking about lake effect snows

It’s may 12th and we’ve had two Nor Easters within a weak. It’s been a cool weather week for sure.

It was a pretty cold morning here for the end of February. My Davis showed that it reached the middle teens.

We ended up getting an inch or two of snow this morning. I guess a little snow is better than none.

It looks like the Susquehanna valley is in for another ice storm. We’ve been placed in a winter storm watch for it.

Yesterday we had a nice surprises. We had a clipper leave us with more than an inch of snow. At night it had cleared up in time for the lunar eclipse too!

It’s another day and another storm off to our west. That’s been the pattern this winter.

We wound up having a fun little ice storm. Some of the rain was heavy Quite a few branches broke from the weight. It’s the first I remember seeing tree damage other than twigs since 1994.

This time last year we quite a memorable sleet storm. It was the most sleet I can remember seeing.

Sunday ended up being blustery with temperatures getting down to 10 with a high only into the 20s. It seems like such a waste to get cold like that without snow.

Nice, We are having some surprise snow flurries!

I looked at the radar then out the window and got a surprise. It was snowing moderately, and the grass was white!

As I was expecting, we didn’t get any snow here in Mount Joy from this storm. It was rain instead.

There is at least a potential for snow here in Lancaster County Sunday into Monday.

I cannot even comprehend the snowfall forecast that the NWS has out for Sierra Nevada. The forecast is calling for Seven to Ten Feet of.

This strange winter is continuing. We’re forecasted to get some snow, and snow in March is always a good thing.

Meteorological winter is over now. It was not a good one for me as a snow lover since we didn’t get all that much of it.

Today it feels a lot like spring. It’s much milder than it has been.

I am remembering the second major snowstorm on Presidents’ Day, at least while I was alive. It was my first big snowstorm here in Mount Joy, PA.

The snow that I had hoped for yesterday didn’t materialize. It was sleet and ice instead.

We decided to go check out the ice on the Susquehanna River today since it’s been so cold. It’s always wild to see all the ice on the river when you’re used to seeing the water moving.

It’s been below freezing for a few days with the arctic air. We usually like to go check out the river ice if we get the chaNce.

As I expected all week, the forecasted snow last night never materialized here.

This past week has been cold, with no real snowfall. I think it’s a big waste of cold air.

It’s finally feeling like winter around here. We should have a chance of snow squalls with an arctic cold front.

We finally had our first snowfall of the year. It’s a pretty late one this winter.
