The other day when the internet was down I got the idea to find my old short wave radio and see what’s still broadcast on their. Sadly there had been batteries in it that leaked for who knows how many years and the corroded the contact which broke off.
I have always liked radio stuff. I recently saw that SDRs are pretty cheap and pretty well rated. It might be a fun toy to play with.
My old headphones served me well until I got the cable caught in the chair and broke it. I took that as a good opportunity to pick up Bluetooth ones. I got Sennheiser HD 4.40s and really like the sound of them.
I’m beginning my search for a portable music player. It needs to have a fairly large screen that’s readable for me. It needs to have expandable memory and Bluetooth.
I really liked the Delorme PN-40 but it wasn’t for me. Mine had a really short battery life which I returned. The next one didn’t work. A bit disappointed in that but I hope they can make them better. It could be competitive with Garmin, especially with the included maps.
I have been reading about the Delorme PN-20 GPS and it looks pretty interesting to me. It even comes with maps instead of having to buy them separately. I ’d like to try one out.
