It has been weighing heavy on my mind this year, but 13 years ago today I had my thyroid removed thanks to me having MEN2A and medullary thyroid cancer due to that.

My MEN2a And Medullary Thyroid Cancer Story
It was discovered that I have the medullary thyroid cancer and that I have the RET mutation that causes MEN2a. Many in my family have it. Luckily I had no pheochromacytoma but I did have the thyroid cancer. Recovery from the thyroidectomy has been fine.
