Our Rose Is Starting
Walking past our rose bush a couple of times, we have noted the buds growing, and there were lots of those buds to open. We knew that it would not be long until we started getting flowers.
Today, walking past it a little before we walked over to Harvey’s to get supper, we noticed the flowers were beginning to open. There were a few open ones, but most of them were just getting ready.
I miss the color changes it used to have, but it’s been just this red rose since the graft died or broke off, I guess when they dug up the sewer line years ago. Nature finds a way to survive.
