I did a test on my squats and presses today after a longish break. I was pleasantly surprised.
Today, I wanted to challenge myself with the heavy kettlebell in an actual WOD. I did, and it felt pretty good!
It has been weighing heavy on my mind this year, but 13 years ago today I had my thyroid removed thanks to me having MEN2A and medullary thyroid cancer due to that.
I did my heavy presses this morning, then a light SHIFT WOD. A little while after the WOD I wanted to break out The Motivator (97-pound kettlebell) and accumulate 50 swings.
Our electricity went out from strong winds today. It never goes out, but this is the second time in less than a year.
I successfully made one squat at 300 pounds this morning. It felt pretty good after a mentally tough cycle.
Today we had our first day with the temperature reaching the 70s of the year.
This evening I noticed that the rain stopped, and the sun was out. I went to take a rainbow. No rainbow, but the clouds were lit up in a cool looking way.
My headphones had cushions that were peeling. I have used them for quite a while because of that. I discovered that the pads can be replaced!
I was laying on the couch relaxing and watching the Phillies game when fire trucks started slowing down right out in front of the house. Hello anxiety.
